Established in 1980, Country Pro Shop provides the finest and largest selection of bowling balls, bags, shoes and bowling accessories in stock. Nestled inside one of the finest and biggest bowling centers in Staten Island, our store is considered the largest pro-shop in the metropolitan area. Started by Ray Laursen Sr., the tradition of excellent service has been our mission and gaining the customer 100% satisfaction has been our reward.

Ray Laursen is the owner and operator of Country Pro Shop, since its establishment. He is certified Silver level bowling coach since 1986; former board member with the International Bowling Pro Shop & Instructors Association (IBPSIA), currently charter member; inaugural inductee for the Staten Island Bowling Hall of Fame, he cashed in numerous PBA regional and High Roller awards. Ray is the Staten Island singles classic tournament champion of 1983; bowling leagues officer, organizer for 20 years on Staten Island and currently president of Prestigious Marketeer Islander Bowling league.

James Labetti II, also known as Jimmy, is bowling since the age of seven; he comes from a family of bowlers that has formatted his bowling skills. He has made many appearances throughout the entire bowling circuit, bowled in numerous world team challenge tournaments, PBA regionals, Las Vegas High Roller 1998 & 2001. Jimmy is the Sports League Champion 2001 and has four games of 300 each, also one 800 series so far in his early career. He is also the Benny Mc Nevich tournament champion for year 2000, with more to come. Jimmy has been working with Country Pro Shop since 1995.
